Irish artist Carmel Mooney celebrated the launch of her new book A Sense of Place last night with an enviable attendance, including David Kelly, Ambassador to Austria Frank Cogan, Italian Ambassador Dr. Lucio Alberto Savoia and Dr. Pat Wallace, Director of the National Museum. Other guests at the Merrion Square bash included Mr Justice Peter Kelly, Senator Mary Henry, Mary Anderson, Deirdre Purcell, Eileen Colgan, Mary Caulfield and Cliona Ní Bhuachalla.
Other artists in attendance were Eithne Carr, Sheila Coyle, David Hone, Patrick Pye, as well as art historian Dr. Hilary Pyle and poet Brid O’Siadhail.
